Badgers, Dursley, Gloucestershire, July 2014 I have been photographing badgers in Dursley again. The adults have been very shy but one of this year's cubs was very cooperative; for each of three evenings in a row I managed to capture nearly 100 pictures of him (or her). Light rain on the second evening made for some more interesting shots after getting under a waterproof sheet and putting plastic bags over all my flashlights! ![]()

Over the next fortnight, I took some further shots with a log which were also successful. ![]()

Finally, I went back to flash and the pond. This was one rather shy adult. ![]()

Cornwall, June 2014 The best pictures are often taken around dawn or dusk. In June this is a tall order if you want to catch both but I did manage to rise very early on some mornings during my week's stay in Cornwall. The holiday was based in Mousehole. A couple of early-morning shots of St Michael's Mount: ![]()
